Approach

How the work is done.

Back-office work fails when the rules are assumed instead of verified, or when a beautiful interface shows a number no one can trace. The approach below exists to prevent both.

The six steps

Step 1. Discover.

Read the compensation plan the way the engine reads it. Interview the people who answer the field’s questions. Inventory what the platform already provides and where members, leaders, and staff get stuck.

Step 2. Map the logic.

Write down the rules: periods, volumes, qualifications, trees, statuses, and the exceptions everyone knows and no one has documented. Confirm them against real engine output before a single screen is designed.

Step 3. Design for the audience.

A member needs one clear next action. A leader needs to know who to reach today. An executive needs the company story in one view without a login. Each gets its own design, all from the same trusted data.

Step 4. Build with an AI-assisted process, under direction and validation.

Matt designs, directs, validates, and delivers advanced back-office systems using an AI-assisted development process. Requirements, rules, approvals, credentials, and live verification stay with him.

Step 5. Reconcile before release.

Every figure is checked against the commission engine. If a value cannot be verified, it is labeled, not guessed.

Step 6. Instrument and improve.

Usage and reliability are measured from day one, so the tools that matter get sharper and the ones that do not get retired.

Principles

  • Explain why a number is what it is.
  • One clear action per screen.
  • Ledger for dollars, live data for progress.
  • If it cannot be verified, it is labeled, not guessed.
  • Build for how the field actually thinks.

Let’s look at your back office.

A consultation is a working conversation about your plan, your platform, and what your field and your team need next. No pitch deck.
